Research on Motivation Wins SIOP Award

Christopher Cerasoli of the gOE team, in conjunction with collaborators Jessica Nicklin from the University of Hartford and Michael Ford from The University at Albany were selected to receive the inaugural Schmidt-Hunter Meta-Analysis Award by the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP) for their paper: "Intrinsic Motivation and Extrinsic Incentives Jointly Predict Performance: A 40-Year Meta-Analysis."

Their research was published in Psychological Bulletin, the most highly-cited research journal across the entire field of psychology. This annual award, honoring Frank L. Schmidt and John E. Hunter, recognizes advances related to Industrial and Organizational Psychology as documented in the best published research in the previous five years in which meta-analysis is used.
